Perlane® is made of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in our bodies. Hyaluronic acid is what gives our skin volume. With age, we lose this volume - which is, in part, due to shrinkage of hyaluronic acid.
Perlane is very similar to Restylane. Perlane adds volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).
What makes Perlane different from Restylane is that the gel particles are larger. Perlane is an excellent choice for deep wrinkles that benefit from a deeper injection into the skin.
In three clinical studies of 150 patients each, on average 70% of patients maintained improvement for six months after one treatment.
